Morrow County Regional Planning Commission creates and administers Subdivision Regulations for the county’s unincorporated areas (all townships and unincorporated villages). In this role, the Commission reviews all plats and all subdivisions of land (lot splits).

In addition, the Commission plays an active role in land use planning in the county, with involvement in the development of the Morrow County Comprehensive Land Use Plan, ongoing participation in the Technical Review Board and other initiatives.

Please note: Regional planning is not the same as county, township or village zoning, which require separate fees and approvals. Zoning regulates the use of each parcel of land and addresses items such as location of a house or building on the parcel (for example, setbacks), building size, and the type of use (for example, residential or commercial).

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Our office is open Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. (except holidays). We're now closed on Fridays until further notice because of the county's budget situation.
